Ingu Solutions named to Chevron Technology Ventures Catalyst Program

CALGARY, AB, Aug. 23, 2017 – Ingu Solutions is among the first companies to be selected by Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV) for its recently launched CTV Catalyst Program™, an initiative to help early-stage companies promote technology to advance the oil and gas industry around the world. Ingu has the opportunity to receive funding throughout the Program upon the completion of milestone achievements.

CTV selected Ingu for its Pipers™ technology, which gives oil and gas companies a fast and affordable way to access pipeline assets that are currently out of reach. This revolutionary technology uses miniaturized inline sensors to detect leaks, geometric defects and deposits that threaten pipeline performance and safety. Pipers™ eliminate the need for human intervention, reducing inspection costs, strengthening preventive maintenance, and lowering repair and replacement expenditures.

Industry estimates suggest that 40 percent of the world’s pipeline assets are too difficult or expensive to inspect. This represents approximately 1.5 million kilometers of pipeline assets.

“Being named to the CTV Catalyst Program™ is a significant achievement for Ingu,” said Ingu CEO John van Pol. “We’re not only reducing costs, but we’re enabling oil and gas companies to inspect pipeline assets that are currently unreachable.”

The CTV Catalyst Program™ is designed to accelerate the maturation of early-stage companies working on technologies such as oil field equipment, advanced materials, water technology and IT software/hardware.
