INGU Solutions Inc. and its affiliate INGU Inc. (together, “INGU”, “we”, “us”) respect the privacy of our customers, partners, website visitors, and business contacts. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information that INGU collects through our website at https://ingu.com, through the INGU Pipeline Viewer, and through direct business correspondence, including email, telephone, and text message. It applies to information collected online and to information provided to us directly by customers, partners, and their personnel in the course of a commercial relationship.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites that may be linked from our own. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

Information we collect

We collect only the information we need for the purposes described in this policy. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Contact and business information, including name, job title, company name, business address, email address, and telephone or mobile number.
• Correspondence, including the content of messages, enquiries, and attachments you send to us.
• Account information for users of the INGU Pipeline Viewer, including username, credentials, and access permissions.
• Technical information collected automatically when you visit our website, including internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time of access, referring and exit pages, and pages viewed.

Pipeline inspection data generated by Pipers® is customer data rather than personal information. It is handled under the terms of the applicable commercial agreement with the customer, not under this policy, except where it happens to contain personal information such as the name of a field operator.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and support our products and services, including Pipers® deployments and the INGU Pipeline Viewer.
• Respond to enquiries and provide technical and field support.
• Administer accounts and manage our commercial relationship with customers and partners.
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website.
• Send service communications, including operational updates and notices relating to products, accounts, and this policy.
• Send marketing communications by email where you have asked to receive them or where we are otherwise permitted to do so, and from which you may unsubscribe at any time.
• Detect and prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

SMS and mobile messaging

INGU uses mobile telephone numbers for two purposes. The first is two-way conversational support with customer personnel who deploy Pipers® in the field, where pipeline locations frequently have limited voice coverage and text messaging is more reliable than a telephone call. The second is receipt of one-time verification codes required to provision and maintain INGU business communication accounts.

Mobile numbers are collected only when voluntarily provided, such as during project onboarding, equipment handover, contract execution, or direct correspondence with an INGU representative. At the point of collection, the individual is advised that the number may be used for text-based field support.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, after which no further messages will be sent to that number. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at privacy@ingu.com. INGU does not send promotional or marketing text messages.

Legal basis for processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal information on the following bases:

• Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to supply our products and services or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Legitimate interests, including operating and securing our website, supporting our customers, and managing our business relationships, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Consent, where you have asked to receive marketing communications or have accepted non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law.

How we share information

INGU does not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.

We share personal information only as follows:

• With service providers who process information on our behalf, such as hosting, email, communication platform, and analytics providers, under contractual terms that limit their use of the information to the services they provide to us.
• Between INGU Solutions Inc. and INGU Inc., where necessary to deliver services and support.
• Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request.
• In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the protections in this policy.

International transfers

INGU operates in Canada and the United States and serves customers worldwide. Personal information may therefore be stored and processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your own jurisdiction. Where personal information originating in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred outside those areas, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet contractual, legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Business contact and correspondence records are generally retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized.

Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. These include access controls, encryption in transit, and restriction of access to personnel who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies, log files, and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function. Analytics and preference cookies are used only where you have consented through our cookie banner, and you may change or withdraw that consent at any time.

We also maintain server log files, which record technical information such as IP address, browser type, and time of access. Log data is used to analyze trends, administer the site, and maintain security.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of parts of the website.

Your privacy rights

Canada

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and applicable provincial legislation, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR applies, you have the right to:

• Access your personal information. The first copy is provided free of charge.
• Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request erasure of your personal information, in certain circumstances.
• Request restriction of processing, in certain circumstances.
• Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time.
• Request portability of information you provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to:

• Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared.
• Request deletion of personal information we have collected.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. INGU does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
• Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
• Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Making a request

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@ingu.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, which is generally one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

Our website and services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children. INGU does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16, or under the age of 13 in the United States. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through our website or, where appropriate, directly.
