INGU has been named a recipient of the Spotlight on New Technology Small Business Award at The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) for its “innovativeness and significance to the offshore industry” with the introduction of Pipers® 2.8. This year, INGU was one of five companies selected globally to receive small business recognition.
The OTC showcases leading-edge technology for offshore drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. The annual conference is the premier event for energy professionals to discuss and advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters. This year, more than 60,000 energy professionals representing more than 100 countries are attending.
“Our free-floating Pipers® 2.8 are changing inline inspection for the offshore industry by giving oil and gas operators unprecedented insight into pipeline condition,” says John Van Pol, CEO, INGU. “As soon as Pipers® were released into the market we received requests for a high-pressure version for the offshore industry because these pipelines have historically been difficult to inspect with traditional tools. The high-pressure Pipers® 2.8 are our answer to this request, and we are very pleased that OTC recognizes the importance of this development.”
INGU’s free-floating Pipers® offer greater access to pipelines with advanced data analytics that deliver optimal operational control and insight, while simultaneously reducing overall costs and downtime. INGU will have a booth in the Canada Pavilion of the upcoming Offshore Technology Conference, taking place in Houston, TX from August 16 to 19.
