CALGARY, AB, February 5, 2019 – Ingu Solutions has been selected by Startup Grind, powered by Google for Startups, as one of the top 60 startups inducted into the 2019 Global Class of Startups Program. Additionally, Ingu Solutions’ revolutionary Pipers® pipeline screening technology for oil and gas will be featured at the 2019 Startup Grind Global Conference held February 12th through February 13th in Redwood City, Calif.
Ingu Solutions made the cut from among more than 3,000 applications from across the globe. The 2019 Global Class of Startups represents the best in technology and business innovation from 34 countries.
“Our Pipers® technology opens access to 300,000 miles of pipelines for which there is no economical inspection method,” said John van Pol, CEO Ingu Solutions. “Pipers® use miniaturized sensors to detect leaks, geometric defects and deposits that threaten pipeline performance and safety with zero-downtime. Our technology eliminates the need for human intervention, reducing inspection costs, strengthening preventive maintenance, and lowering repair and replacement expenditures.”
Ingu Solutions has screened thirty-six pipelines in the past 12 months, safe-guarding close to 200 kilometers (125 miles) for 15 clients, including Chevron, Husky Energy, Hess Corporation, and Equinor.
Ingu was the first company selected by Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV) for its CTV Catalyst Program, an initiative to help early-stage companies promote technology to advance the oil and gas industry around the world. Ingu was also the first company selected for North Dakota’s iPIPE program focused on new technologies for leak detection and prevention.
